Job summary

Streets LLP is seeking an experienced Personal Tax Semi Senior to join our tax team in a role focused on managing client relationships, delivering compliance, and mentoring junior staff. The position emphasizes technical tax work, advisory support, and collaboration within a busy practice.

The candidate should have a background in personal tax, strong communication skills, and the drive to progress within a forward-thinking firm with multiple UK offices.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
• Ability to work as part of a team, yet also work using own initiative when required.
• ATT/CTA qualified or prepared to work towards
• Good commercial understanding
• Ability to travel to client premises and between offices
• Good organisational and administrative skills
• Excellent attention to detail and technical ability
• Proven analytical skills
• Good understanding of accounts
• Self motivated and keen to progress

Responsibilities

• Manage portfolio of personal tax clients ensuring compliance with HMRC and in-house deadlines
• Prepare tax computations and returns for Manager/Partner review
• Review tax work prepared by non-tax specialists
• Provide technical assistance in resolving tax queries
• Provide assistance on ad hoc advisory projects including technical research
• Provide advice on tax liabilities, working within tax law and HMRC provisions
• Identify tax planning opportunities
• Provide capital gains and inheritance tax planning advice
• Manage complex HMRC correspondence
