Personal Tax Professional

We’re looking for a Personal Tax Professionalto take ownership of all financial matters relating to reward of our clients equity and salaried partners, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy, transparency, and compliance. This is a pivotal role within the Finance Department — managing partner drawings, profit distributions, capital accounts, and tax reserves — while working closely with senior leadership to provide insight and financial clarity across the partnership.

Key Responsibilities
Partner Accounting & Financial Management
  • Maintain and reconcile partner current and capital accounts.
  • Administer drawings, profit allocations, and tax reserves with precision and timeliness.
  • Manage partner-related journals, inter-firm transfers, and onboarding/leaver settlements.
  • Oversee capital contributions and withdrawals, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.
Profit Allocation & Reporting
  • Partner with the Finance Director / Head of Finance on the annual profit allocation process.
  • Prepare detailed profit share schedules, forecasts, and management reports for the Partnership Board.
  • Deliver financial insights on partner profitability and contribution.
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
  • Ensure full compliance with SRA Accounts Rules, HMRC partnership tax regulations, and firm policies.
  • Liaise with auditors during year-end reviews and manage HMRC reporting.Support the COFA with regulatory submissions and compliance reporting.
Partner Liaison & Communication
  • Act as the primary contact for partners on financial, tax, and remuneration queries.
  • Communicate clearly on drawings, profit distributions, and tax deductions.
  • Support partner briefings on firm performance, pension contributions, and tax planning.
Systems & Process Management
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date data within Elite 3E, Aderant, or SOS Connect systems.
  • Drive automation, consistency, and transparency across partner accounting processes.
  • Collaborate with IT, Finance, and HR to ensure seamless data integration and reporting.
About You
  • Strong understanding of partnership accounting, tax principles, and SRA Accounts Rules.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with partners.
  • Analytical thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
  • High integrity and discretion when dealing with confidential partner financial information.
Qualifications & Experience
  • AAT / ACCA / CIMA / ACA &/OR ATT OR CTA.
