Job summary

TPF Recruitment is supporting a fantastic firm of chartered accountants based in Faversham, Kent, seeking a Personal Tax Manager to join their tax team. The role offers autonomy, an experienced support network and clear progression prospects.

You will manage a portfolio of UK individuals, HNWIs and some trusts, lead tax planning projects, review complex returns and oversee juniors while helping grow the department.

Qualifications

• CTA/ATT/ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in personal tax within an accountancy practice.
• Experience across TopTier, Top Ten, or regional firms with personal tax focus.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of personal clients with complex tax affairs including UK individuals, HNWIs and some trusts.
• Overseeing tax planning projects such as domicile issues, charges and trusts, and capital gains/inheritance tax matters.
• Reviewing and completing returns, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Managing junior staff and supporting development within the tax team.
• Supporting growth and development of the tax department with the Director.

Our client focuses on owner managed businesses and HNWI'sacross the Southeast and you will be responsible for:

• Managing a portfolio of personal clients withcomplex tax affairs, focusing on UK individuals, HNWIs, and some trusts.
  
• Tax planning projects such as non-domicileissues, onshore and offshore trusts (and other structures) and, capital gainsand inheritance tax issues
  
• Reviewing and completing more complex taxreturns
  
• Overseeing your teams compliance function andmaking sure all deadlines are met
  
• Manage HMRC enquiries and dealing with HMRCcorrespondence of both compliance and advisory nature
  
• Managing junior members of staff includinghelping them with technical and personal development
  
• Supporting the Director's with the growth anddevelopment of the tax department
  

Requirements

Personal Tax Manager Faversham

• Ideally CTA and/or, ATT/ACA/ACCA qualified, you will havedeveloped a personal tax career within an accountancy practice or specialisttax firm.
  
• Your experience will have been developed in any mix of TopTier, Top Ten, 50, larger regional independent firm background, or specialisttax firm and your background will most likely have focused down the personaltax route with a strong compliance and tax planning skill set.
