Clark Wood - Tax Recruitment is partnering with an established accountancy practice in Solihull to recruit an experienced Personal Tax Manager who will oversee the tax department.

You will manage a varied client portfolio, provide complex tax advice and support the development of a dedicated team, ensuring high-quality service and compliance across all filings.

Qualifications

• CTA or ATT qualifications, or equivalent experience within personal tax.
• Strong technical knowledge and the ability to interpret complex tax legislation.
• Excellent analytical, communication and client relationship skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Experience overseeing personal tax compliance and supporting or managing a team.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing personal tax compliance for approximately 800 clients, including high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) and trusts.
• Providing complex technical advice on income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax planning.
• Ensuring statutory tax filing deadlines are met and client expectations are consistently achieved.
• Monitoring tax return completion and keeping directors updated on departmental progress.
• Maintaining and developing your technical tax knowledge to ensure accurate, up-to-date advice.
• Managing work in progress (WIP), billing and recoverability within the personal tax department.
• Overseeing personal tax staff, reviewing work, providing technical support and conducting staff appraisals.
