TC Group is hiring a Personal Tax Manager to manage a diverse portfolio of personal tax returns for directors, property owners, and high net worth individuals. The role offers scope for advisory work and professional development within a growing UK firm.

The candidate should have ACA/ACCA/CTA qualifications or be qualified by experience, with strong analytical, communication and coaching skills. There is flexibility for full-time or part-time work, with a permanent contract and 35 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Manages a portfolio of personal tax returns for directors, property owners, high net worth individuals and others.
• Provides clear advice and answers client queries in a timely manner.
• Supports Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax planning.
• Mentors junior staff and assists with training where needed.

Responsabilités

• Manage personal tax portfolios and client relationships.
• Be the first point of contact for client queries and directors.
• Assist with CGT and IHT planning and trust portfolios if applicable.
• Cover national NI, overseas matters and farmers averaging when needed.
• Involve in training students and advising accounts team.

TC Smith & Goulding are looking to expand and strengthen our team with the addition of another Personal Tax Manager, either on a full time or part time basis. The role will provide the opportunity to widen your experience and progress further in the firm.

Key Responsibilities of a Personal Tax Manager

• Managing a portfolio of personal tax returns comprising of company directors, property owners, high net worth individuals, sole traders and partnerships.
• Being first point of contact for our clients and assisting the directors with ad hoc queries
• Assist with advice in relation to Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax and potentially a portfolio of Trusts
• Other specific areas of knowledge which would be useful are national insurance, overseas matters and farmers averaging
• You will be involved in the training of students and provide ad hoc tax advice for the accounts team.

About You

• Ideally you will have formal qualifications such as ACA, ACCA or CTA. We are happy to consider candidates who are qualified by experience
• Possesses excellent analytical and review skills
• Is eager to progress and develop, with the willingness to adapt
• Demonstrates a high level of honesty and integrity
• Has the ability and desire to coach and develop junior members of staff
• A self-starter with the motivation to see projects through to completion
• An effective communicator and listener and who and would collaborate well with the rest of our team
• Wants to make a positive impact on our firm and be part of our journey into the future
