Job summary

Clark Wood Limited in West Yorkshire is seeking an Assistant Tax Manager to join its Private Client / Personal Tax team. You will manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, oversee compliance work, and provide advisory support to help clients optimise tax positions.

The ideal candidate is ATT or CTA qualified with solid private client experience, capable of mentoring junior staff and working closely with Partners.

Qualifications

• ATT or CTA qualified tax professional with solid private client experience.
• UK accountancy practice experience in private/personal tax.
• Strong client service and advisory skills.
• Ability to manage and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients
• Preparation and review of Self Assessment tax returns
• Advising clients on a range of personal tax matters
• Providing tax planning and advisory support
• Dealing with HMRC correspondence and enquiries
• Reviewing work prepared by junior members of the team
• Supporting and mentoring more junior staff
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Assisting the Tax Manager and Partners with more complex tax work
