Job summary

Nycil is seeking a Personal Support Assistant to help a 26-year-old young man with autism and dyscalculia in Scarborough. The role covers 20 hours per week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday from 12 pm to 5 pm, with a pay rate of £13.79 per hour and enhanced rates on bank holidays.

Duties include supporting with food shopping, meal planning and preparation, prompting with laundry, and accompanying to walks, lunch, cinema and art galleries.

Qualifications

• Experience with autism support preferred.
• DBS check required or willing to obtain.
• Access to a car preferred.

Job description

We are looking for a Personal Support Assistant for a 26 year old young man who has autism and dyscalculia. There are 20 hours per week available on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday from 12 pm till 5 pm.

The young man requires support with food shopping, meal planning & preparation, prompting with his laundry, going for walks to the beach, going to lunch, cinema & art galleries.

The ideal candidate would be able to drive and have access to a car.

The rate of pay is £13.79 per hour and £20.69 bank holiday rate.

A DBS is required for this position.

Pay: £13.79 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week

Experience:

• working with individuals with autism: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)
