Personal Development Tutor (Temporary, Full-Time)

Location: Merseyside
Hourly Rate: £20 - 25 per hour

Eden Brown are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Personal Development Tutor to join a leading Further Education College in Merseyside. This is a full‑time, temporary position offering an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide pastoral support to a caseload of students, helping them to navigate their personal development journey throughout their time at college.
  • Develop effective partnerships with subject teachers, parents/carers, and other stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to supporting students.
  • Monitor student progress, including academic performance, attendance, next steps planning, and overall personal development.
  • Conduct group and one-to-one tutorials to review progress against targets and offer guidance on overcoming challenges.
  • Signpost students to a range of services and support available through the College, ensuring they have access to the resources they need to succeed.
  • Help students build resilience, self-confidence, and future aspirations by providing tailored guidance and motivation.

  • A strong understanding of personal development principles and their impact on students success.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues, parents, and external partners.
  • A commitment to student welfare and a passion for helping students achieve their full potential.

A DBS is also needed for the role.
