Personal Care SEN Teaching Assistant (Manual Handling Trained) - Corby

Location: Corby, Northamptonshire
Salary: 90- 110 per day
Contract: Full-time, long-term

Tradewind Recruitment are looking for Personal Care Teaching Assistants to join our partner all-through SEN schools in Corby. These schools support pupils with complex physical and medical needs, and we are seeking caring, skilled individuals who can provide both academic and personal care assistance in a professional and compassionate manner.

Your duties will include assisting pupils with personal care, feeding, and mobility, ensuring that all activities are carried out safely and with dignity. You will also support students within the classroom, helping them access the curriculum through tailored sensory and therapeutic approaches. Working as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team, you'll liaise closely with teachers, physiotherapists, and healthcare professionals to provide a holistic approach to support.

To be successful, you should hold up-to-date Manual Handling and Personal Care training and have previous experience supporting children or young people with physical or medical needs. A caring and professional attitude is essential, along with the ability to work calmly under pressure.
