• Meal preparation around dinner time (approx. 1 hour around 6 pm).
• Evening routines including undressing and showering (approx. 1 hour around 9:30 pm).
• Weekly tasks: Shopping, collecting, carrying and putting away items; social activities, swimming; changing duvet covers; washing/drying clothes; cleaning/gardening/baking.

Working Arrangements

The role is to work directly for a client in a modern house in Heworth. You will be directed by the client at all times and expected to support the client in daily life activities.

Main Duties

• On a daily basis

  • Dinner times – Meal preparation (approx. 1 hour around 6 pm)
  • Evenings – Undressing, showering, etc. (approx. 1 hour around 9:30 pm)
• On a weekly basis
  • Shopping
  • Collecting, carrying, putting away items
  • Social activities, swimming (getting changed)
  • Changing duvet cover / sheets
  • Washing / drying clothes, putting clothes away
  • Cleaning / gardening / baking

There is a lot of variety in the job and it has been found both enjoyable and rewarding.
