I'm looking for a reliable person to join a team providing 1‑1 care & support for my son. I am looking for someone who is trustworthy with good communication skills. Reliability and enthusiasm is important. 24 hours per week – working Saturday & Sunday – 8am till 8pm. Owen is a 21‑year‑old and has a rare condition called pelizaeus‑merzbach disease; he spends his days in a wheelchair, is verbal but requires close attention to be able to understand him. Your role will include:

• tracheostomy care – you will need to know how to change in case of an emergency
• g‑jet feeding
• moving and handling
• medication administration via g‑jet
• oxygen
• nippy venterlater
• catheter suction
• clearway

Experience is preferred, but full training will be provided. A full driver's licence & own transport preferred, but not essential.

An enhanced DBS check will be required, however, the cost of this will be covered.
