A local authority in the UK is seeking a committed support worker to assist a 10-year-old boy in Prudhoe. Responsibilities include engaging in outdoor activities and providing personal care. We are looking for a committed worker to provide support for a 10‑year‑old young boy who lives in the Prudhoe area. The support is to allow him independence away from his family and to access age‑appropriate activities. He enjoys being outside and keeping active.
A full enhanced disclosure and barring certificate will be required before employment can commence. Full cost to be met by employer. Full training will be provided where appropriate such as in medication administration, safeguarding and moving & handling (where applicable). The child has diabetes that is currently monitored via finger pricks and injections (using a pen rather than syringe). Full training will be provided for this, but it is essential that the successful support worker is confident in managing this once training has been provided.
