Echuca Community for the Aged (ECA) provides first-class residential aged care and independent living for elderly members of the Echuca Moama community.

Our experienced and professional staff play a fundamental role in enriching the lives of all residents – holding respect, compassion, empathy, and integrity as their cornerstones of care.

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Personal Care Assistants to work closely with our clinical and lifestyle teams to provide high-quality personal care and support to our residents. This includes:

1. Planning, implementing, and evaluating care to meet the needs of individual residents with daily living activities.
2. Ensuring resident care is of high standard and promotes safety, comfort, dignity, privacy, and choice.
3. Facilitating and maintaining effective communication with residents, carers, relatives, visiting medical officers, and colleagues.
4. Providing emotional support and companionship.
5. Being flexible and passionate about aged care.

Both permanent part-time and casual positions are available.

To be considered for this position, the successful applicant will have:

• A minimum of Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent.
• Previous experience in aged care (preferred but not essential).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy, patience, and a person-centred care approach.
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• The ability to create sustainable and positive relationships with colleagues, residents, families, and visiting allied health specialists.
