Job summary

Forward Education Trust's Brays School in Birmingham is seeking a part-time Personal Care Assistant to support primary pupils with physical, learning and sensory needs. You will assist with personal care, meal times, mobility, and help pupils follow their daily routine while promoting independence.

The role involves working within individual care plans, recording care provided and collaborating with staff. This position is term-time only and visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Experience in providing personal care and supporting pupils with care plans is desirable.
• Ability to follow healthcare instructions and safety procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with toileting, dressing, feeding and moving and handling.
• Administer medicine as required and follow care plans.
• Monitor and assist with eating and drinking where necessary.
• Maintain records of care provided and report changes to staff.
• Support pupils with daily routines and activities and provide emotional support.

Job description

Personal Care Assistant post at Brays School, a specialist school for primary-aged pupils with physical, learning and sensory needs, run by Forward Education Trust. The work centres on personal care such as toileting, dressing, feeding and moving and handling, and helping pupils build independence with their own hygiene. It is part-time and term-time only, with support for each pupil's care plan and daily routine. Visa sponsorship is not available.
