Job description

Hours: 4 hours per week (weekend work)

Rate of pay: £14.00 per hour

Location: Hazlerigg, Newcastle upon Tyne NE13

Hello, I am the Mam of an amazing little boy called Toby, and I am looking for a kind, patient and playful Personal Assistant to help support him when we are out and about and occasionally at home. Toby is 5 years old and a very happy little boy who experiences the world in his own unique way. He is non-verbal but communicates through laughter, excited screeches and big smiles. Toby has an extreme learning disability and requires a high level of support throughout the day.

Toby is full of personality and brings so much joy to the people around him. He enjoys engaging with the world through the things that make him happy and feels most comfortable with people who are calm, caring and understanding of his needs. Toby loves anything with wheels or that spins. He enjoys sensory activities such as lights, bubbles and his spinning chair, and he finds these really calming and engaging. At school he enjoys time on the trampoline, and at home he loves to be outdoors swinging, bouncing and exploring the fresh air. Toby also enjoys sitting with books and being read to.
