Job description

Jack, a 22‑year‑old with a lively, fun personality, has a neurological disability and lives in the Airdrie area. He enjoys a good laugh, music, comedy shows and favours visiting animal parks such as Deep Sea World, Blair Drummond Safari Park and Edinburgh Zoo.

Responsibilities

• Attend to personal care needs, including toileting and bowel movements.
• Assist with medication management.
• Prepare healthy snacks and help with cooking.
• Support in walking, one‑to‑one football, bowling, shopping, community groups and other leisure activities.
• Facilitate independent living through other daily living tasks.
• Proactively and innovatively encourage participation in activities suited to Jack’s needs.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Energetic, forward‑planning and outgoing with a warm, friendly nature.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Driver with a Full UK Manual Driving Licence (essential for driving a Motability vehicle).
• Relevant care experience and knowledge of autism and ADHD (essential).

Working Hours

Guaranteed permanent position of 33 hours per week.

Mon to Fri: 11:00 am – 4:00 pm
Saturday or Sunday: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm (weekends to be confirmed and discussed at interview)

Hourly Rate: £13.00 per hour
