An inclusive care service in Scotland is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to support a 12-year-old girl in activities she enjoys. The role involves providing one-to-one assistance both at home and in the community, encouraging active participation. Applicants must have experience with children with Autism or Learning Disabilities, possess good communication skills, and be drivers. This part-time role offers an hourly rate of £12.60 with flexibility for occasional weekends.
Hazel is a bright, energetic 12-year-old girl who loves being active and spending time outdoors. She enjoys swimming, cycling, listening to music, sensory activities, and socialising.
Hazel is looking for a caring and patient personal assistant who can support her to have fun, stay active, and take part in the activities she enjoys most.
As Hazel’s Personal Care Assistant, you’ll provide one-to-one support both at home and out in the community. A typical session might include a walk or playtime in the park, joining Hazel on a bike ride, or helping her enjoy a sensory activity at home.
You’ll be there to offer encouragement, companionship, and gentle support, helping Hazel take part in activities that suit her interests and abilities.
This role would suit someone who is warm, friendly, and dependable, with a genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs. You’ll need to be proactive, patient, and able to bring creativity and positivity to each interaction.
Because Hazel loves getting out and about, a driver is essential, and you’ll need to use your own vehicle. A mileage allowance will be paid.
Experience supporting children or young people with Autism or Learning Disabilities is essential, as is having good communication and interpersonal skills.
If you’re someone who enjoys making a difference and would love to support Hazel to grow, explore, and have fun, we’d love to hear from you.
