About the role

Euan is a kind and gentle young man with physical and learning disabilities who enjoys getting out and about in his community and living as independently as possible. He’s looking for a caring and dependable Personal Care Assistant / Support Worker to help him with day‑to‑day living and to support him in enjoying his hobbies and social activities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide one‑to‑one support at home and in the community.
  • Assist with personal care such as shaving or dressing.
  • Prepare and cook healthy meals.
  • Support Euan to attend social activities like cinema trips, swimming, or meals out.
  • Help with practical tasks such as shopping, collecting prescriptions, and light household duties.
Qualifications & Qualities
  • Full driving licence and own vehicle (mileage allowance paid).
  • Cooking skills required.
  • Non‑smoker due to sensory needs.
  • Experience preferred but not essential; full guidance will be provided.
  • Warmth, compassion, reliability, good communication and an understanding of supporting someone with additional needs.
Hours and Rate of Pay
  • Permanent positions available – full time and part time.
  • Up to 40 hours per week, split shifts (morning & evening – flexible to be discussed at interview).
  • Typical shift pattern:
    • Monday: 8 am–1 pm & 5 pm–9 pm
    • Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: 7:30 am–9 am & 5 pm–9 pm
    • Thursday: 8 am–2 pm & 5 pm–9 pm
    • Saturday & Sunday: 8 am–1 pm & 5 pm–9 pm
  • Hourly rate: £12.60 per hour.
  • Potential overtime available.
