Personal Assistant/Support Worker

Personal Development Worker required for a young man in his mid‑20s living in Stonehouse, South Lanarkshire. Friends and family describe him as funny, loving and caring, he loves to laugh and make others laugh. He likes to meet up with friends, go bowling and go out to quiz nights. Enjoys a walk and keeping fit, going swimming, playing badminton and crazy golf. Also enjoys volunteering to help the elderly and young people. His true passion is film making and creating animation and of course he loves to go to the cinema.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal assistance and support to enable daily living and personal development.
• Assist with recreational activities, meal preparation and mobility.
• Support the individual’s interests in film, animation and social activities.
• Maintain a positive, caring and flexible environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Kind, caring, flexible and trustworthy.
• Good interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in the person’s hobbies.
• Driver’s licence with access to a vehicle preferred; mileage allowance will be paid.
• Willing to work 33 hours per month plus overnight shifts from 10.00 pm to 8.00 am.
• Negotiable start and finish times/days to be agreed at interview.

Pay & Conditions

• Rate of pay: £12.60 per hour.
• Sleepover: £69.00.
• Position is advertised on behalf of a Personal Employer; the employer will provide the statutory rights, paid holidays and statutory sick pay where eligible.
