Job summary

An organization providing personal assistance is seeking a Personal Assistant in Bearsden to support a 13-year-old boy with Autism. Overview

PERSONAL ASSISTANT/ BEARSDEN

My son is a lovely 13-year-old boy who has Autism with a learning disability. He can understand simple words and instructions. He learns language mainly by watching surroundings/photos and simple stories. He enjoys outdoor playing, walking, dancing and swimming. Playing simple games and activities and loves school.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal, domestic, and social assistance to him to enable independence and participation in all activities of daily living.
• Support him to achieve his potential, build friendships, and increase social interaction opportunities.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be physically fit.
• Must have experience of supporting children with Autism and challenging behaviour.

Hours & Pay

• 8 hours per week term time
• Additional 4 hours non term time
• Rate of pay £17.40 per hour
