A local support service in Scotland is seeking a compassionate Personal Assistant to help an 11-year-old boy with cerebral palsy enjoy fun outings. The role includes swimming trips and safe outings, requiring a calm and attentive nature. Applicants should be willing to join the PVG Scheme. Flexible hours of 2–4 per week are available, primarily on Saturdays.
Hours: 2–4 hours/week (flexible – more during school holidays)
Schedule: Alternate Saturdays, approx. 10am–2pm
We’re looking for a caring, alert Personal Assistant to support an 11-year-old boy with cerebral palsy to enjoy fun activities and stay safe during weekend outings.
The client communicates mainly through speech but may use symbols. You’ll need to be observant and responsive, especially in busy environments.
Please note that under the new legal requirements effective from April 2025, all Personal Assistants must be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
