PERSONAL ASSISTANT REQUIRED FOR A 67 YEAR OLD FEMALE
5 HOURS PER WEEK LLANDEILO AREA. EARLY EVENINGS PREFERRED.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE
- Support with regular showering.
- Support with meal preparation, avoiding numerous foods that can cause intolerance and ingredients that the individual tries to avoid. Avoid ready meals or meals prepared by local eateries, as ingredients can cause intolerance and make her feel unwell. (Batch cooking would be ideal to support this individual.)
- Assist with making up her bed.
- Assist with laundry when the individual feels unable to do so.
- Assist with wiping down work surfaces in the kitchen/bathroom after use and wash dishes.
- Support the individual with encouragement to gain independence.
- Enable the individual to interact socially in their community.
- Provide support to the individual whilst shopping and attending activities of interest.
- Support the individual to develop independent living skills.
- Provide companionship in the employer’s home, including engaging in conversation with the individual and providing social interaction.
- Encourage the individual to attend appointments.
- Ensure the individual’s safety at all times during working hours.
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks requested by the employer during working hours.
- Ensure compliance with Data Protection Act.

- Ability to develop supportive and caring relationship with employer.
- Undertake all duties in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Able to contact people on behalf of the employer when necessary.
Job Working Environment
Working in employer’s home and supporting them to access facilities and community activities.

- Has good local knowledge of the area where the employer lives.
- Good time‑keeping and flexibility around working patterns and duties as determined by the employer’s requirements.
- Ability to keep simple records such as time recording.
- Good communicator able to talk to people on behalf of the employer when required.
- Able to develop long‑term supportive and consistent relationships with employers.
- A full, clean driving licence and use of a car is likely to be required. This is determined by the needs of the employer and whether you live within walking distance.
- Must be prepared to have business use on your vehicle insurance to be able to use the vehicle within work hours.
- Be prepared to undergo training to best meet the employer’s need.
