Overview

Job Title: Personal Assistant

Location: Crymych region

Hourly Rate: £12.60 employed / £17.40 self-employed
Hours Offered: 3 hours a week
Work Pattern: Over 1 or 2 days

Reporting to

The Direct Payments Recipient (the employer). Pembrokeshire County Council supports them to fulfil their employer obligations.

Introduction

A client from Crymych is looking to appoint a Personal Assistant who can support them to remain living independently in their own home.

Responsibilities
  • Providing for the personal care needs of the employer such as support to wash and dress, plan what to wear
  • Supporting with laundry and other light housework
  • Supporting with food organisation, meals and cooking
  • Ensuring the home environment is clean, safe and warm
  • Support with the wood for the wood burning boiler
  • Supporting with household admin
  • Enabling the employer to interact socially in their community
  • Support to the employer whilst shopping and attending activities of interest
  • Supporting the employer to attend appointments
  • Ensuring the employer’s safety at all times during working hours
  • Carrying out any other reasonable tasks requested by the employer during working hours
  • Being mindful of safeguarding issues and feeding concerns to the relevant authority
Person Specification
  • Non-smoker / non-vaper
  • Caring and patient with an understanding of invisible conditions, Chronic Fatigue, anxiety and the effects
  • Responsible, reliable, gentle, patient and honest
  • Spot-on time keeping and flexibility around working patterns and duties
  • Fit and strong
  • Good communicator – including communicating on WhatsApp or Messenger
  • Able to develop and maintain a supportive relationship including occasions when the client is tense, stressed or short of patience
Other Requirements

A full driving licence and use of a car is required. You must have business use on your vehicle insurance to be able to use the vehicle within work hours.
