A PERSONAL ASSISTANT IS REQUIRED FOR A 67 YEAR OLD FEMALE : LIVES IN LLANELLI NEAR SANDY WATERPARK 10hours and 30mins a week

preferred days Monday, Wednesday & Friday. ( FLEXIBLE ) 1 of the working days will be 5 hours, the remainder split over the 2 days. £13.00 . - £13.50 per hour A PERSONAL ASSISTANT IS REQUIRED FOR A 67 YEAR OLD FEMALE : What matters to the individual is receiving reliable and dependable support, to assist her with her personal hygiene. -The individual has 2 small dogs who are very important to her .

She emphasised the need for information to be transparent to her and for everyone involved to be open and honest with her.

To support the individual with accessing the community in line with her interests.

Should the individual source a PA who is able to drive and transport her then mileage can be claimed at a rate of 45p per mile (maximum miles per week 20)

  • The individual feels it is important that carers are sensitive to her personal routines and preferences with regards to her nutrition, her personal care and the maintenance of her home.

Driver preferably Her choice would like female’s applying only.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

Providing and supporting to continue to be independent for the personal care needs of the employer, such as washing and toileting

Supporting the employer with encouragement in gaining independence

Enabling the employer to interact socially in their community

Providing support to the employer whilst shopping and attending activities of interest

Supporting the employer to develop independent living skills

To provide companionship in the employer’s home, including engaging in conversation with the employer and providing them with social interaction

Encouraging the employer to attend appointments

Ensuring the employer’s safety at all times during your working hours

To carry out any other reasonable tasks that are requested by the employer during your working hours including meal preparation, assisting with paperwork and filing

To ensure compliance with Data Protection Act.

Be responsible for contacting the GP, Social Worker or Local Authority should the employer need medical assistance.

Relationships: Communication / Nature of Contacts:

Ability to develop supportive and caring relationship with employer.

To undertake all duties in a friendly and helpful manner.

Able to contact people on behalf of the employer when necessary.

Job Working Environment: Working in employer’s homes and supporting them to access facilities and community activities.

Has good local knowledge of the area where the employer lives.

Good time-keeping and flexibility around working patterns and duties as determined by the employer’s requirements.

Able to develop long-term supportive and consistent relationships with employers.

A full, clean driving licence and use of a car is a requirement.

You must be prepared to have business use on your vehicle insurance to be able to use the vehicle within work hours

Be prepared to undergo training in order to best meet the employers need.

Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) A Disclosure Barring Service Check (DBS) / criminal record check will require to be undertaken for this post.

This will be completed on acceptance of job offer.
