Job description

The Role: To support a young professional gentleman living with Muscular Dystrophy, who enjoys television/film, travelling, music and sport to live an exciting and fulfilling life. He requires 1 new member of staff to join his team. This role is for night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide all aspects of personal care.
• Use a hoist.
• Support the maintenance of a hygienic home (including laundry, cleaning and tidying up etc).
• Food and drink preparation.
• Opportunities to cover for colleagues on leave and sickness, and on occasions work extra hours, agreed in advance.
• Respectful of confidentiality and privacy.
• Responsible, reliable and trustworthy.
• Respectful of dignity and independence.
• Good communication skills and social skills.
• Punctual and flexible.
• Suitable for a casual working environment while remaining professional.
• Respectful of the home and family environment and the routine.
• Car owner with driving licence essential to be able to use client’s own vehicle.

Hours: 36 hours per week to be worked between 20.30pm – 08.30am
Hourly Rate: £15.00 per hour
Holidays: 5.6 weeks per year (pro rata) including Bank holidays.
