A leading mental health service provider in the United Kingdom is seeking a Personal Assistant to support their Multi-Disciplinary Team. The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manage a diverse workload effectively. The successful candidate will ensure efficient operation of administrative tasks and provide confidential support in a new mental health inpatient unit focused on delivering outstanding person-centred care. Water Meadow View is a new mental health inpatient unit for adults who have learning disabilities, which is due to open late 2025 on our site in Whittingham, Preston. As we prepare to open this unit, we have an exciting opportunity for a Personal Assistant to join us and support the Multi-Disciplinary Team to deliver outstanding person-centred care.
One of the Trust's aims is to deliver the best possible care to our patients, and this new inpatient unit will do just that. Water Meadow View will offer clinical excellence, support, and safety, with patient-centred care at its heart.
The post holder will be a highly organised, professional and committed PA who holds full responsibility to provide a comprehensive, confidential and high quality secretarial and administrative service to ensure the efficient and effective organisation of the network management team.
The post holder will act as an effective ‘gatekeeper’ and must therefore have excellent negotiation, diplomacy and interpersonal skills. The post holder will have knowledge of all the relevant administrative and secretarial procedures applicable to this role as well as the ability to deal with non-routine activities that arise. Problem solving is an integral part of the role.
