Overview

Hours: Averaging 7 hours per week (2 hours on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings, plus 2 hours alternating Sunday mornings).
Wage: £13.00 per hour
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne (NE5)

I am looking to employ a Personal Assistant to support me in my home in the Fenham area of Newcastle (not far from the Morrison’s store). The hours will be over the weekend and the hours can be flexible. There will be extra hours available to cover holidays and sickness during the week. The job involves a range of tasks including personal care, domestic work around the home and some activity outside the home.

Responsibilities

• Domestic work: cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, keeping work surfaces clean and tidy, laundry (washing, drying and ironing).
• Meal preparation and shopping from local stores; shopping typically once per week.
• A more thorough clean of the house once per week.
• Personal care: provide a range of personal care tasks during every shift.
• Morning shifts start around 7:30am to allow time for getting up; punctual arrival at the home is essential.

Requirements

• Applicants should be able to provide personal care.
• Must have permission to work in the U.K. at the start of employment.
• Local residence or own transport is advantageous to ensure timely arrival for morning shifts.
