Job summary

Disability North in York is seeking a friendly Personal Assistant to provide occasional weekend support at art events. You will help set up displays and chat with visitors about the artist's work.

This role suits someone who enjoys art, can stay calm with crowds, and is reliable. Training will be provided; you’ll be reimbursed for travel as needed, and you’ll join a flexible, supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Supporting at art events on an ad hoc basis (mainly weekends).
• Helping with setting up and packing away displays.
• Confidently talking to the public about my work and assisting when things get busy.
• Being understanding and patient, with some knowledge of autism or willingness to learn.

Job description

Rate of Pay: £13.45 per hour

Full UK driving licence essential (to drive employer's motability vehicle). Must be happy to drive long distances.
