Job summary

Independent Lives is seeking a dedicated Personal Assistant (DP639) to support a young gentleman in maintaining independence in Chichester. The role is part-time on-site with 16 hours over two days, plus cover on holidays and sickness.

Pay is £15 per hour with additional mileage at 45 pence per mile. The successful candidate will assist with daily living tasks, transport-related needs and maintain high health & safety standards while providing patient, cheerful support.

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual and able to manage time effectively.
• Able to follow instructions and use own initiative.
• Hygienic, tidy and well organised; health & safety aware.

Responsibilities

• Moving and handling.

• Lifting the folding wheelchair in/out of car; pushing employer's manual wheelchair when out.
