Job summary

Enable Scotland is seeking Personal Assistants (Support Workers) in Kirkwall to help Heidi transition into her new home and live her best life. You’ll join a bespoke team that shares interests and supports Heidi with everyday hobbies, social outings, and local community activities.

Shifts include daytime, evening, and overnight coverage across 13 services, with a flexible approach to contracted hours to fit childcare and other commitments.

Let Us Introduce You To Heidi

Heidi is looking to transition from her current living set up into her new home and she is looking for Personal Assistants (Support Workers) to support her to make this transition successful. We are looking for a bespoke team so that Heidi receives person centred support with the right personal assistants that share similar interests and outlooks on life. Heidi is looking for outgoing personal assistants that can support her everyday hobbies. She loves to watch TV shows and playing games that are mathematically based! Heidi has an excellent memory and loves dates, time and anything numbers. Heidi enjoys spending time watching her favourite shows such as count down and other quiz shows. She enjoys going out to local cafes, historical sites and going out to local events. Heidi is looking to build her social skills and gain confidence in social settings within the community. She also enjoys sensory experiences and enjoys visiting the local library.

Heidi's support is based in Kirkwall and is within walking distance of all amenities. Heidi's support is delivered as part of team so personal assistants will works as part of close team of support workers to provide support.

Enable offer a variety of different shift patterns across 13 services, specifically Heidi's shift times are as follows:

• 9am-3pm
• 9am-9pm
• 9pm- 9.30am or 9pm - 8am - overnight support shift

Enable is happy to offer a flexible approach to contracted hours, shift patterns and shift times that can work around childcare and other commitments.
