Job description

Overview

Barrhead – 15 Hours and 20 hours available per week. Driver required. Enable is an award-winning social care charity.

Responsibilities

• Support people with learning disabilities to achieve their goals and outcomes.
• Assist with personal care, moving and handling, or positive behavioural support while expanding social networks and connections.
• Enable creates a bespoke team around every individual, and Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure safety, wellbeing and aspirations are met.

About Ben

Ben lives in his own home and receives support with most aspects of daily living. He is very active, enjoys nature walks, splashes in puddles, trampolining, going to the gym and cycling. A typical day could include supporting Ben with personal tasks within his home, maintaining his house and garden, going for a walk in the countryside or a leisure drive. Ben is non-verbal and relies on visual aids to communicate his needs and wishes. He values structure and routine, and a calm team that shares his interests; humor is appreciated.

Ben also spends time with his family, who he is very close to.
