A local family is seeking a Personal Assistant for their ten-year-old son with autism to support his communication and social skills. This flexible role requires a car driver and experience with children with special educational needs. The position offers £12.60 per hour for 3 hours a week in Redruth. Successful candidates will need to undergo a DBS check.

Personal Assistant required for an intelligent, humorous and eloquent ten-year-old boy who lives in the Redruth area.

He is autistic with ADHD and PDA traits looking for someone who he can build up a positive relationship with and provide him with some 1:1 support.

He would like someone to support him with his communication and social skills out in the community. His interests are Lego, Minecraft, science fiction, going to the beach, swimming and play parks.

A personal assistant will enable him to enjoy activities in his local community, developing his independence away from his family.

Good rate of pay at £12.60 per hour.
3 hours per week are available, although this is very flexible.
Car driver preferred with business class insurance.

Some knowledge or personal experience of working with young people with special educational needs is essential.
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
