Personal Assistant for 4-8 hours per week supporting young man Bedford MK42 area MB001

Details
  • Location: Bedford, MK42
  • Hourly Rate: £13.28 per hour
  • Hours per week: 4 hours per week Term Time and 8 hours per week in School Holidays. Total ~6-8 hours; preferably at the weekend.
Responsibilities
  • Support and encourage Marcus, a 19-year-old, to access the community and stay active with activities such as walking, visiting local parks, looking in shops, swimming, fun fairs, trampoline, bowling, or going out to eat.
  • Establish and respect Marcus’s preferences, ways of communicating, choices and wishes, and maintain respect at all times.
  • Be patient and engage with Marcus by allowing him to go at his own time and speed to adjust to his environment.
  • Recognise when to step in and support him and show him how to complete activities in the community.
  • Remain calm when facing unexpected challenges and be quiet, confident, and able to take action to resolve situations safely.
