Overview

6 HOURS per week – SCHOOL HOLIDAYS ONLY (Flexible days and hours)

£13 per hour

Personal assistant required funded through a direct payment, to enable a happy and energetic 14-year-old boy to access community and sporting activities such as Taekwondo, swimming as well as soft play and other local community groups.

We are looking for a Personal Assistant to support our active son, who is full of energy and enjoys a wide range of sports and hobbies as well as visiting the cinema, the local theatre, soft play areas and attending various local community groups.

Our son requires 1:1 supervision when out in the community to maintain his safety and to ensure he is able to access activities. We are looking for someone who has a good sense of humour to support our son to gain some independence away from the family home, maintain his safety and ensure his needs are met as well as support him to access fun and exciting activities of his own choice.

Responsibilities
  • To access community based activities such as swimming and taekwondo.
  • Through providing prompts for toileting and changing.
  • To develop social skills in the community.
  • To remain safe while out in the community.
Essential skills/experience
  • Experience of working with children with a disability.
Desirable skills/experience
  • Access to own vehicle and driving license.
