Job description

Overview

The Role: To support a 62-year-old to help me live my life the way I choose. The job involves assistance with a variety of tasks as my day varies. I use a manual wheelchair and need to be pushed in my wheelchair outside of the house and if going out the wheelchair will need to be put in and taken out of the car.

Main Duties

• Support with rehabilitation
• Assistance with setting up shower equipment

Domestic Tasks

• Assist preparing and cooking food/ enabling me to make meals.
• Washing dishes and general cleaning of kitchen
• Laundry and ironing
• Bedmaking
• General cleaning and tidying of house
• Assistance with shopping
• Checking and emptying rubbish and recycling bins

Social Tasks

• Assistance to access hobbies such as my interest in crystals and art
• Assistance to purchase art materials
• Assistance to access local facilities
• Assistance to access the community

Other Tasks

• Assistance with light gardening
• Driving

Hours, Pay and Type

• Hours: 3 hours on a Wednesday – 9.00 – 12.00pm and 2 hours on a Saturday to be discussed (can be flexible around these hours).
• Pay: £14.00 per hour
