Job summary

UDIRECT Support in Frizington is looking for a warm Personal Assistant to provide one-to-one care for a young girl with severe disabilities and epilepsy in a family home. You will help with daily routines, personal care, play, and local outings.

A mandatory DBS check will be carried out. We offer up to 20 hours per week with flexible hours, comprehensive training, and a supportive family environment. A full driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• DBS check required and to be carried out.
• Experience with caring for children with disabilities preferred.
• Ability to build rapport with child and family.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one compassionate care to a young girl with complex needs.
• Assist with daily routines, personal care and play activities.
• Support outings and educational activities while ensuring safety.
• Handle epilepsy care under supervision and training.

Personal Assistant required to support a young girl in the Arlecdon area, Frizington.

About the Role:

As a Personal Assistant, you will provide compassionate, person-centred care tailored to her individual needs. You’ll support her with daily routines, personal care, play, outings, and activities, helping her to access opportunities and enjoy life to the fullest. You will also receive training to confidently support her medical needs, including epilepsy care.

We’re looking for someone who is:

Able to build a positive relationship with both the child and her family.

Willing to learn and committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care.

Someone with a clean driving license is essential.

Previous experience is preferred but not essential.

Experience supporting children, individuals with disabilities, or people with medical conditions such as epilepsy would be an advantage.

Full training will be provided for the right candidate.

A mandatory DBS check will be carried out.
