A Newly Available Part Time Role working alongside experienced team members to help provide support and care to a cheerful 55‑year‑old man, who lives in his own home. He has mild learning difficulties, Cerebral Palsy (from birth) and MS since 2012. The MS has accelerated the deterioration of the symptoms he had with the CP. From being quite active – 13 years ago he had just returned from yet another skiing holiday – he is now predominantly chair‑bound. He is still very social, has a great sense of humour and can be a lot of fun, but is inevitably frustrated by his current condition and keeping him cheerful is an important part of the job. You will become part of a dedicated and professional team who together provide 24/7 care. All training will be given to the successful applicant.
All personal care tasks, such as showering, toileting and catheter care and soon to include stoma care following an operation within the next three months.
References and an Enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) are required.
Hours: 3.30 pm – 8 pm – four or five of seven available shifts a week. Pay: £12.50 per hour. Job Type: Part time, doubled up alongside a full time experienced team member.
You must be able to prove your right to work in the UK. No sponsorship is available.
