Job summary

A private family in Gateshead is looking for a proactive Personal Assistant to help manage daily household tasks and provide support for a busy Mum with young children. The candidate must be comfortable in a lively environment and understand ADHD and sensory needs.

The role includes meal preparation, laundry management, planning, light admin tasks, and occasional outings. A driving license is a bonus. Interested applicants should have up-to-date DBS checks.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role with children.
• Ability to manage household tasks efficiently.
• Valid DBS checks and permission to work in the U.K.

Responsibilities

• Manage kitchen and dining area for functionality.
• Handle laundry management including washing and organizing clothes.
• Assist with planning and organization tasks.
• Support with admin tasks and errands as needed.
• Occasionally accompany family to appointments and activities.

Rate: £14.04 per hour (Direct Payments)

Hours: 8 hours per week (ideally 2 hours over 4 days, including weekends)

Personal Assistant – Gateshead (NE9)

I am a busy Mum (ADHD/Autistic/Fibromyalgia) to a 7-year-old daughter and 16-month-old boy/girl twins, looking for a proactive, non-judgmental personal assistant who can be my extra brain and hands to help keep my home running smoothly. I am currently recovering from a difficult period and need someone who can see what needs doing and jump in to help me regain control.

The Role

• The Daily Reset & Meals: Managing the kitchen and dining area so it stays functional and clutter-free, alongside basic meal preparation or occasional batch cooking.
• Laundry Management: Handling the full wash/dry/fold cycle and helping organize clothes for the family.
• Organization & Planning: Assisting with weekly planning/to-do lists, maintaining simple toy systems, and helping maintain a low-stress, low-sensory environment.
• Flexible Admin & Errands: Occasional light admin (scheduling, forms), collecting prescriptions, or adjusting tasks based on my energy levels (Fibro flares/overwhelm).
• Occasional Outings: While mostly home-based, occasionally accompanying us on appointments, errands, or weekend activities.
• Bonus: Being a driver with access to a car would be a massive plus for occasional support with nursery and school runs.
