Overview

Personal Assistant required in Dyserth.

Hours: An average of 3 hours weekly though we are happy to be flexible to allow support for a longer period less regularly (perhaps alternate weeks). We would also consider employing someone to support during school holidays only.

Rate of pay: £13.00 per hour

About the role

We are looking for a Personal Assistant to support our twelve year-old son who lives with us and his brother. Our son is a happy, cheeky and inquisitive boy. He is easy going and kind and prefers quieter environments. With a diagnosis of autism and a learning disability he would benefit from a Personal Assistant to support him to have fun and to enjoy himself in his local community. This could be visiting the cinema, going swimming and playing outdoors. We feel this will increase his confidence and safety awareness greatly. We are looking for a kind, patient and understanding person who is empathic. We look forward to building a rapport with our PA and will be happy for them to become involved with the planning of activities.

Responsibilities
  • Support our son to participate in activities in the local community (e.g., cinema, swimming, outdoor play).
  • Help build his confidence and safety awareness in a calm, supportive environment.
  • Collaborate with the family to plan activities and become involved in activity planning.
