Job description
Location

All Supreme Support localities within the North Lincolnshire area.

Nature of role

To assist with a variety of tasks, which will support the individual, to live an independent and social life.

Duties
  • Independent living – support individuals to live in their own home either 24 hour/set hours.
  • Domestic duties – all workplace areas are maintained to a high standard.
  • Social duties – to maintain and offer support where necessary to help with any activities, individual’s social calendar and appointments. Staff to be aware that due to working as a PA these duties may change from day to day so staff need to keep up to date with any changes and rotas and customer relations.
Hours of work
  • Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week incorporating sleep‑ins.
  • Including bank holidays.
  • Requests to work may be made at short notice.
Qualities and experience
  • Essential – all staff to have knowledge of job role and expectations and work in a person‑centred way. Staff need to be able to communicate with varying degrees of speech and interaction.
  • Always present a professional manner and adhere to correct boundaries when dealing with customers, families and health professionals. Staff to have personal care, food safety, basic cooking skills, health and safety and first aid knowledge.
  • All training will be offered to staff as and when required.
  • All records and reports are kept neat, tidy and readable.
  • All staff have a non‑judgemental, accepting approach to working with people who may be challenging and the ability to cope in a mature way with conflict, distress and challenging behaviour.
  • Ability to support individuals with their physical health needs; this may include transportation and pushing wheelchairs of which a degree of physical fitness will be required.
  • Show the ability to follow guidelines to manage risks and specific instructions relating to medication, financial transactions and the use of lifting equipment and assistive technologies. Have an ability to work safely and responsibly without direct supervision in the individual’s own home and in the community.
  • Must show an ability to work constructively and cooperatively as part of a team, adhering to all guidelines policies and procedures.
  • Must show an ability to demonstrate respect and acceptance of difference and diversity.
  • Applicants to have DBS certificate. Applicants to hold a full clean driving licence, with business insurance.
Pay
  • £13.00 per hour.
  • Mileage is 0.45 per mile with customer or travel from places of work to other customers.
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave per year.
  • Company pension.
Shifts
  • 10am‑10pm.
  • Sleep in is £80.00 - 10pm till 8am then 8am‑10am.
  • Extra work available to cover sickness or annual leave.
  • Approx 23 hours per week - potential for more hours covering leave/sickness/bank work.

DBS required.

Six month probationary period.

To assist with social support/independent living.

Driver with own vehicle/business insurance.

Rotas are issued monthly/ some flexibility is required to cover annual leave.
