Job title: Personal assistant (PA)

Reporting to: The Employer

Location: Redditch B98

Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will enable the employer who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.

About the employer:
My client is a 41-year-old male that lives in the B98 area of Redditch who is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to provide support to enable my client to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.

My client has Spina bifida & Hydrocephalus and is paralysed from the waist down and is a wheelchair user and therefore has several adaptations in his home to support him to be more independent.

Main duties:
Social duties
keep in touch and socialise with family and friends
attend medical appointments

Personal care: To support with bathing, showering, shaving, teeth cleaning, dressing, continence care, administering medication, making breakfast & drink.

These duties may vary from day-to-day.

Hours of work:
AM call: 1 hour (6am-7am)
Lunches Personal Care: 30 minutes (11am-11:30am)
Teatimes Personal Care: 30 minutes (3pm-3:30pm)
Evening Personal Care: 30 minutes (6pm-6:30pm)

Rate of pay:
£12.21 per hour
