Job description

We're keen to find someone who is based locally in the Reading area, and can get started as soon as possible. We are building the future of quantum computing and we're looking for a Personal Assistant to help us keep things running smoothly as we scale. You'll be joining a collaborative, fast‑paced team where your organisation, problem‑solving skills and calm efficiency will enable our executives to focus on what matters most: accelerating our mission.

As an experienced Personal Assistant, you know how to stay one step ahead – managing multiple diaries, navigating shifting priorities, and coordinating complex schedules and travel plans across time zones. You're comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, evolving environment, and you take pride in finding smarter, simpler ways to get things done. You're detail‑oriented, proactive, and bring a positive, can‑do approach to every challenge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing complex calendars and inboxes; coordinating meetings across multiple time zones, resolving conflicting priorities with confidence.
  • Planning and organising global travel, often with last‑minute changes, ensuring every detail is handled seamlessly.
  • Tracking progress on key projects and actions on behalf of executives to ensure alignment and follow‑through.
  • Managing expenses and supporting financial administration.
  • Supporting the team through high‑impact business activities with other senior stakeholders.
  • Driving continuous improvement of administrative processes, tools and systems to make life simpler and more efficient for the team.
About You

You have supported senior leaders in a fast‑paced environment before, possibly in a technology or scale‑up setting – so you understand how to balance the strategic with the practical. You're confident working independently, know when to use your judgement, and can communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders. This role is all about making things happen – keeping our leaders organised, informed and focused, while helping us continually improve the way we work.
