Bedford Borough Supporting Futures Team is recruiting additional Personal Advisors due to the increase in need following the introduction of additional duties to Care Leavers.
We are seeking enthusiastic, passionate candidates to join our busy, friendly team.
You will need to have a keen interest in working with young people and young adults. As a Personal Advisor you will work with all Care Leavers aged 18 to 25 in a statutory capacity, supporting them to successfully transition to adulthood.
This will include work with unaccompanied and separated young people and with young people with differing levels of disability. Pathway Planning enables this work to progress with young people, their families and/or carers to ensure they achieve their aspirations in all aspects of their lives. You will also undertake duty alongside team colleagues.
You will receive induction and regular supervision, as well as regular training linked to your annual Personal Progress Discussion. You will need a full driving licence and access to a car.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
