Technical Administrator

Location: United Kingdom
Contract Type: Temporary (from 3rd November until end of Financial Year)
Pay Rate: £17 - £20 per hour (depending on experience) - inside IR35

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Administrator to join our team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will provide technical and administrative support to operational teams, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and the smooth coordination of works. This role requires strong IT proficiency and familiarity with industry systems such as StreetManager and OneNetwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day administrative and technical support to project and operations teams.
  • Input, update, and maintain accurate data within StreetManager, OneNetwork, and internal systems.
  • Prepare and manage documentation, work permits, and compliance records.
  • Track project progress, update databases, and generate reports as required.
  • Liaise with internal teams, local authorities, and external stakeholders to ensure all works are properly planned and recorded.
  • Support with general office duties, including document control and correspondence management.
  • Assist in monitoring performance metrics and ensuring adherence to company and regulatory standards.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
  • Working knowledge or appreciation of StreetManager and OneNetwork systems (training can be provided).
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Previous experience in a utilities, infrastructure, or engineering environment is advantageous.
