Job summary

Optima UK Inc Ltd is seeking an experienced CNC Miller for a permanent night-shift role on high‑precision components. You will set up and operate 4/5 axis machines, read engineering drawings, and produce parts to tight tolerances using materials like Titanium and Inconel.

The role offers a permanent night shift, a 37.5-hour week, and on-site facilities in North Nottinghamshire. Training and development opportunities are provided to support continued growth.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating 4 or 5 Axis CNC milling machines.
• Experience in a precision engineering environment such as Aerospace, Automotive, Motorsport, Oil & Gas or subcontract machining.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience machining Titanium, Inconel or other high-performance materials would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating 4 and 5 Axis CNC milling machines.
• Manufacturing high-precision engineered components to tight tolerances.
• Machining a range of materials including Titanium, Inconel and Hardened Steel.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Carrying out machine set-ups, tool changes and offset adjustments.
• Completing in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment.
• Producing components that consistently meet customer quality standards.
• Achieving production targets while maintaining right-first-time quality.
• Identifying and reporting quality issues or non-conformances.
• Supporting continuous improvement and 5S initiatives.
