Job summary

Culina UK is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 drivers for a full-time position based in Desborough. The role involves delivering palletised goods to regional centres, with many loads via backdoor tipping. A 24/7 operation supports key customers, offering a stable, permanent driving role.

Shifts include days and nights with paid rates and overtime. Applicants must hold a valid C+E licence and have good knowledge of tachograph rules and Driver Hours directives.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E Licence.
• Minimum 12 months HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• Good understanding of Driver's Hours and Working Time Directive.
• Excellent communication skills and professional approach.
• Commitment to on-site health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises.
• Complete palletised general haulage deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres, often backdoor tip.
• Support occasional driver tipping or multi-drop deliveries depending on demand.
• Report delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies promptly to the Transport team.
• Complete paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned.
• Follow company rules, health and safety standards; adhere to tachograph rules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects; take responsibility for unit/trailer.
• Maintain high standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service.
