Job Title: Qualified Social Worker - Children in Need (CIN) Team (Perm)
Salary: £42,839 - £46,142 per annum
Location: Leicester, LE1 1FQ
Work Hours: Full-time (37 hours), Monday to Thursday 08:30 to 17:00, Friday 08:30 to 16:30
Flexible Work Option: 9-day fortnight, with potential overtime due to duty requirements
Relocation: Standard relocation package available (must relocate within 20 miles of the Clock Tower)
Drivers required: Access to a car for visits (central car user scheme, mileage and parking expenses covered)
Leicester City Council is seeking an experienced and dedicated Qualified Social Worker to join our Children in Need (CIN) Team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic team with a manageable caseload, focusing on Child Protection (CP) and Court Work. The ideal candidate will have experience in undertaking CIN / CP assessments, court proceedings, and managing complex cases.
As a QSW in the CIN team, you will be part of a supportive and skilled team, reporting into two Service Managers, with 8 Team Managers and fellow QSWs. Your role will involve managing a caseload of approximately 20 children, with a strong focus on safeguarding, care planning, and supporting children and families through complex and challenging situations.
