Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional Senior Operating Department Practitioner who has drive, passion and high standards. You will work autonomously, make full use of your skills and knowledge. You will work with leading consultants within a multi disciplinary team, on a varied case load. You will be supervising, supporting and developing junior staff as well as delivering high quality care.

This role is full time, salary is negotiable dependent on experience. A full range of benefits are on offer plus NHS pension.

Responsibilities
  • Work autonomously; make full use of your skills and knowledge and work with leading consultants within a multidisciplinary team on a varied caseload.
  • Supervise, support and develop junior staff as well as delivering high-quality perioperative care.
  • Deliver safe, evidence-based perioperative nursing care in theatre settings, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Adhere to professional standards and maintain registration with NMC or HCPC; operate within your scope of practice as a Theatre Practitioner-ODP.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a registered Theatre Operating Department Practitioner and have the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC or HCPC. You will be a team player, flexible and motivated.
