As a Quality Improvement Project Lead, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering quality improvement within maternity and neonatal services. The post holder is responsible for the delivery of quality improvement projects to drive continuous improvements in perinatal care and experience. This post manages a broad portfolio of improvement activities and projects, fostering a culture where all staff view quality improvement as a core part of their role. The role ensures appropriate oversight of key deliverables from national and local policy and strategy, including the 10‑Year Health Plan for England, the Three‑Year Delivery Plan for maternity and neonatal services, reviews such as Ockenden/East Kent, and the NHS Operational Planning Guidance. Together with wider team members, the post supports integrated care boards (ICBs) to improve patient and population health outcomes and provides quality improvement expertise to the Midlands Perinatal Team and system partners. The role is designed to build both subject‑matter expertise and technical skills to deliver strong quality improvement projects.
