Job summary

A community support organization in the UK is seeking a full-time professional to deliver antenatal and postnatal programmes for first-time parents. The role involves working closely with vulnerable families, providing essential support and interventions, while ensuring compliance with safeguarding procedures. The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field, excellent communication skills, and a valid UK driving licence. This position requires some flexible working hours, including the possibility of evening and weekend work.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid UK driving licence and access to a car.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK and provide Right to Work evidence.
  • Some roles may require a Criminal Disclosure check.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver antenatal and postnatal specialist programmes.
  • Provide services and support about infant feeding and safe sleep.
  • Hold a caseload of vulnerable families and deliver support sessions.
  • Work in partnership with various stakeholders.
  • Complete accurate records and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Participate in preparing and delivering a range of antenatal and postnatal specialist programmes for first-time parents and those identified as a priority. Delivery will be through various methods, including group meetings, one-to-ones, digital platforms, and social media.
  • You will provide a range of services, information, advice, specialist support, and interventions that support aspects such as infant feeding, safe sleep, self-weigh appointments, reducing isolation, and baby massage.
  • Hold a caseload of vulnerable families, working within the defined support interventions, planning creative responses to families' needs and delivering support sessions and activities within the home and community, using various evidence-based parenting models and programmes, individually and in groups.
  • Keeping accurate records is essential for a good level of computer literacy
  • Partnership working.
  • Occasional evening, Saturday, and lone working may be required within the centre's opening hours
    At least a Level 3 in a recognised professional qualification in health, education, childcare, social care or equivalent
  • Knowledge of the importance of Child Protection Procedures and Safeguarding children
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of working with families from a wide range of backgrounds
  • You will need a valid UK driving licence, access to a car during working hours, business-use insurance, and a willingness to travel regularly
  • Important: We do not provide visa sponsorship; you must be eligible to work in the UK. You must reside in the UK for the duration of your employment and provide Right to Work evidence. As some of our roles involve working with vulnerable members of society, this position may require a Basic or Enhanced Criminal Disclosure, which will be conducted once a conditional offer is made
